Training and qualifications to work in Germany

Did you obtain a professional qualification outside Germany and do you need to upgrade or adjust your qualification in order to get recognition in Germany? Do you need a specialist language course for your profession?

We offer training courses for nursing and healthcare professions, skilled trades and professionals in industry, commerce and education.
Or have you obtained a university degree in a non-regulated profession abroad? Then you can complete a bridging qualification to improve your employment opportunities.

We also offer advice and trainings in the fields of energy, environment and digitalisation for people with informal or non-formal skills from abroad.

All services are free of charge.

  • Healthcare and nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Medical technical professions (laboratory diagnostics, radiology; medical laboratory assistant, radiology assistant)
  • Anaesthesia or surgical assistant
  • Doctor, dentist, pharmacist
  • Educator
  • or another regulated profession?

Has your qualification not been fully recognised in Germany?

Do you need to obtain further qualifications for full recognition? That is, to "demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge"?
Is a compensatory measure (knowledge test or adaptation qualification) necessary?

We will organise recognition of your professional qualification.

  • We explain the differences identified in the assessment notice.

Skilled trades, professionals in industry and commerce (e.g. industrial mechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, barber/hairdresser, medical assistant and other professions)

Dual anerkannt!

Have you trained abroad in one of the 330 professions that have dual vocational training (e.g. electronics technician, motor vehicle mechatronics technician, hairdresser, a commercial diploma, etc.)?

If your qualification has not been fully recognised, you can offset any differences through training and thus achieve full equivalence of the qualification.

What we offer:

  • Creation of an individual training and qualification plan in consultation with the responsible organisation (Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Skilled Crafts or Chamber of Agriculture)
  • Search for and promotion of suitable course-based training in consultation with the participant and, if necessary, with the employer
  • Search for suitable companies to complete the on-the-job training phases
  • Support during on-the-job and course-based training programmes
  • Support with the follow-up application to achieve full equivalence
  • Communication coaching for participants
  • Mentoring for companies during the on-the-job training phases

Training will take place close to home where possible.

Qualification in Business Administration

Grow UP - Business studies and more

Do you have a university degree from your country of origin and still can’t find a job? Are you not yet confident enough to apply for a job on the German labour market?

Then we can offer you a qualification in the field of business administration, through which you can refresh and expand your knowledge from your studies or your own professional experience. This will increase your employment opportunities and help you make many new contacts.

Prerequisites for participation in the qualification programme are Place of residence in the state of Brandenburg, German language skills of at least B1 level, a foreign university degree recognised in Germany.

What we offer:

  • Specialised modules (5 months): Fundamentals of business administration, fundamentals of financial accounting, introduction to managerial accounting, international management, tax law, controlling, marketing and sales, personnel management, intercultural communication, project and conflict management, digitalisation 4.0 – the paperless office
  • Mentoring programme (1 month): Workshop on "How to apply for a job in Germany" and individual support for participants in their application process. In addition, labour law training is offered through the "Faire Integration" (Fair Integration) project.
  • Qualification awarded: you will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Informal or non-formal skills in the area of energy, the environment and digitalisation

Work in the future - energy, environment and digitalisation

The aim of the Work in the Future subproject is to offer the project participants employment prospects through targeted training or to create the conditions for this. The target group is people with informal or non-formal qualifications from abroad.

What we offer:

  • Individual coaching and support with regard to possible qualification approaches, taking into account existing qualifications (needs analysis – online or in person)
  • Comprehensive information on possible qualifications in the context of the German vocational training system (training occupations, learning fields, continuing education for professional advancement) and reference to the ValiKom programme (assessment of informally acquired skills)
  • Examination of the language level, as a prerequisite for possible qualification approaches or, if applicable, referral counselling for the relevant DeuFöV courses (job-related German language support)
  • Expertise and development of solutions for issues relating to employment and residence law, as well as qualification and the employment market
  • Creation of an individual qualification plan, including coordination of a possible implementation schedule and corresponding milestones, as well as placement in training schemes with a focus on energy, the environment and digitalisation
  • Support during the training programme, concluding discussion, issuing of a corresponding certificate (if necessary, referral to an external examination institution – depending on the qualification)
  • Discussion of employment prospects in the context of the qualification, matchmaking with companies from the local region or neighbouring integration services.

Entering the labour market for graduates in the non-regulated sector 

Have you studied abroad and obtained a degree in social sciences, natural sciences, law, or music and the arts?
Would you like to work in the profession you have learnt? Are you not employed in your actual profession? Are you looking for new career opportunities?

We will support you individually and work with you to develop prospects for your path into the labour market. Close support and supervision, targeted assistance and the initiation of coaching, qualification and mentoring formats will open up new access to the labour market.

This will improve your employment opportunities.

Sufficient German language skills (level B1) are a prerequisite for participation.
